The DuraGen® dural graft is one of the safest and most effective onlay grafts for dura mater restoration and repair.
It is produced from bovine Achilles tendon, it is 100% collagen structure.
Due to its matrix structure, it provides cell formation towards the inside of the dura, not towards the top.
It does not require suture, it sticks to the dura by gelling when wet.
It is absorbed between 3-6 months. Thus, there is no foreign substance in the body, and the newly formed dura replaces the absorbed graft.
