Integra Duragen Plus
Duragen Plus is an adhesion matrix graft.
DuraGen Plus, when wetted, instantly takes shape of the complex surfaces of the underlying anatomy, allowing the rapid formation of the fibrin clot to protect against CSF leakage. The Duragen Plus matrix fills rapidly with the patient's blood and plasma exudate.
Type 1 collagen matrix rapidly initiates platelet aggregation.
Within two weeks after implantation, a neodural membrane forms between the dural margins to permanently close the dural defect.
After 6-8 weeks, the implant is absorbed and replaced by the dura.
