Edwards-Barbaro Syringo-Peritoneal Shunt Kit
The Edwards-Barbaro is a T-tube catheter designed to provide continuous fluid drainage into the peritoneum through the spinal cord cyst (syrinx). The small T-tube diameter (approximately F5) minimizes myelotomy size and the "T" shape allows drainage above and below the myelotomy site, reducing the risk of kinking and displacement. Multiple perforations at the tip of the catheter reduce the possibility of catheter occlusion in the spinal cord.

There are radiopaque markers on the tip of the peritoneal catheter and depth markers on the body.

Pressure control is done with 4 slits spaced 90° apart.
The proximal end is perforated, open-ended and angled cut for easy insertion.
