More than 25 different surgical inserts have been developed for use in Mectron PIEZOSURGERY® instruments, creating the most complete range of inserts on the market for a wide variety of clinical indications.

Each surgical insert is manufactured to high quality in terms of hardness, corrosion resistance, vibration resistance and elastic metal properties. Sharpening is done on CNC machines that cut with 0.1 µm precision. Depending on the surgical indication, special surface treatments are performed by coating them with diamonds of different granulometry. Then, each tip body is laser marked and coded. Finally, the ends pass through the inspection stage, which extends from the dimensional control of the part to the visual inspection of the final package.

The 12 different manufacturing steps and the use of proprietary high-tech machinery enable Mectron to produce premium quality and uniquely designed surgical tips.
