Inomed DBS System and Disposables

Inomed MER (Micro Electrode Recording) systems have 3 main models:
     . ISIS MER System
     . ISIS MER System Compact
     . ISIS MER System Portable
All systems can be configured according to desired features.
The ISIS Headbox MER has 5 channels of amplifiers for target point localization during deep brain stimulation (DBS), an integrated stimulator for intraoperative test stimulation, and 8 channels of EMG recording.
The MicroDrive is the device used to position the electrodes during stereotactic procedures. It is easily possible to insert up to five electrodes at any time during the surgical procedure.
A resolution of 50 µ allows the surgeon to accurately position the electrodes using hand-sensing feedback for each full rotation (0.5 mm).
Allows placement of DBS electrodes from all commercially available manufacturers using the compatible MicroGun.
It can be used in all common ring-based stereotactic systems.
There are 3 different types of electrodes in the ISIS MER system:
     . MicroMacro Electrode
     . MicroMove Electrode
     . Macro Electrode
DBS electrodes are sent to the target using guide cannulas.
DBS cannulas are divided into simple guide cannulas for test electrodes and guide cannulas for DBS electrodes. The user replaces the guide cannula with the DBS electrode cannula after test stimulation.
Universal guide cannulas are available to simplify the procedure for the user.
The advantage of these three-piece cannulas is that the user does not need to insert another tube for the implantation of the DBS electrode.
