Codman Disposable Perforator

Codman perforators are disposable drilling apparatuses used to drill the skull without damaging the dura. It is used by attaching to the Anspach surgical motor tip.

As the pressure on the tip is removed when the perforator tip drills through the bone and comes to the dura, the spring mechanism in the body stops the perforator tip by separating it from the movement of the motor. Even if there is pressure by hand, it does not damage the dura as the pressure exerted by the bone tissue is removed.

The perforator is available in 3 different diameters, 9mm-yellow, 11mm-green and 14mm-blue, and each size is labelled using a different colour.
