Cusa Clarity has air-cooled piezoelectric transducer technology.

Handpieces
Handpiece body is covered with a material that acts as a thermal shield to prevent heat transfer.
Handpieces are operating at a frequency of 36 kHz for neurosurgery use and 23 kHz for general surgery use.
The hexagonal applicator body is designed to prevent over-torque, and the 36 kHz applicator weighs just 71 grams (excluding cable).
The 36 kHz applicator uses 5 different types of tips suitable for use on soft and hard tissues.
It has a laparoscopic tip and a "CEM nosecone" cautery adapter for laparoscopic liver surgery, so cautery can be performed using the applicator tip.

Thanks to Tissue select technology, it protects healthy tissues at the maximum level and minimizes the risk of bleeding. It contributes to shortening the operation time as it performs ultrasonic disintegration without reducing the ultrasonic power level.
